PokerIsland respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect when you visit PokerIsland, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have.

Scope
This policy applies to the PokerIsland website (www.pokerisland.app). Our site links to poker rooms, LINE and other websites. Once you leave our site, their own privacy policies apply.
Data we collect
- Browsing and device data (Google Analytics): the pages you view, how long you stay, the external links you click, the website or search that brought you here, and your device type, browser, operating system, language and approximate location (estimated from your IP address to city level). This is statistical data, and we cannot see your name or email address.
- Server logs: when you connect to our site, our hosting provider automatically records your IP address, browser details and the time of access for site operation and security.
- Data you give us: if you contact us through our official LINE account, we receive your LINE display name and your messages, which we use only to reply.
You can browse the site without registering, and we never collect ID numbers, bank account or card details.
Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. We use the following:

Why we use your data
- To measure site traffic and usage, see which room reviews and guides people find most useful, and improve our content and layout.
- To keep the site running and secure, and to detect and prevent abuse.
- To reply to questions you send us on LINE.
We never sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for any purpose other than those above.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services, which handle data under their own privacy policies:
- Google Analytics: traffic analysis. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
- Google Fonts: when our fonts load, your browser connects to Google's servers.
- jsDelivr: provides the 3D graphics library for Decision Island.
- Vercel: website hosting.
- LINE: our official contact channel.
Apart from these services, we only disclose data when the law requires it or when judicial or law enforcement authorities lawfully request it.
How long we keep data
- Google Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months under our retention settings and then deleted automatically.
- Server logs are handled according to our hosting provider's retention period.
- Once we have dealt with your question, we do not keep LINE conversations separately or use them for anything else.
How to opt out of tracking
- Install Google's Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to stop sending data to Google Analytics on every website.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or browse in private mode.
Refusing cookies does not stop you from reading anything on our site.
Your rights
Under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal data we hold, or let you review it.
- Give you a copy.
- Add to or correct it.
- Stop collecting, processing or using it.
- Delete it.
Send your request through our official LINE account and we will deal with it promptly once we have confirmed your identity. Google Analytics statistics cannot identify individuals, so we may not be able to match them to a specific person.
Security and children
- The whole site uses encrypted HTTPS connections.
- Our content is meant for readers aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy because of legal or service changes. Any updates will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
